Andy Roddick Wins, Into US Open Third Round
08.31.2007 NEW YORK-- Andy Roddick has won two matches at the US Open to reach the third which will be played either Saturday or Sunday
against Thomas Johansson of Sweden. In round one Roddick defeated Gimbelstob 7-6 (8-6), 6-3, 6-3. In round two Roddick advanced when Jose Acasuso
retired injured at 4-6, 6-1, 6-2. Head to head Roddick leads Johansson 4-0 last winning this February in Memphis 6-2, 7-5. Johansson, ranked 68th
is a solid player and won the Australian Open in 2002, but I think Roddick will outserve him in round three.
Our pick: Andy Roddick in four sets.
Andy Roddick To Play The US Open Next Week
08.25.2007 NEW YORK-- Andy Roddick plays the US Open the next two weeks in New York and has been seeded 5th. Andy got not the best draw
as he could play top seeded Roger Federer in the quarterfinals. In round one Roddick meets fellow American Justin Gimelstob. Roddick leads
head to head 2-0 last winning at Wimbledon this year 6-1, 7-5, 7-6(7-3). Andy should be able to outhit Justin without too many problems.
Our pick: Andy Roddick in straight sets.
Andy Roddick Ousted In Cincinnati Third Round
08.18.2007 CINCINNATI-- Andy Roddick in round two defeated Fernando Verdasco 7-6(7-3), 6-2 before losing in round three to 16th seeded David Ferrer
of Spain 7-6(7-4), 6-4. Andy had three set points in set one against Ferrer but was unable to convert any. "I just didn't do anything that I've been working
on," Roddick said. "I was standing too far back. I wasn't imposing myself and I was giving away free points. It was a pretty ordinary performance... I'm not
going to go into panic mode. I know what I did wrong today. Don't get me wrong, I'm pissed off about it, but the good thing is that I have time to fix it."

08.14.2007 CINCINNATI-- After getting a first round bye, Andy Roddick tonight takes on Fernando Verdasco of Spain in round two. The Tennis Channel is
scheduled to show this match live. Head to head Roddick leads Verdasco 7-2, winning their last match this year at Wimbleon 6-3, 6-4, 7-6(7-2). On hardcourts
Andy should be able to outhit Fernando but Andy needs to keep his errors low.
Our pick: Roddick in straight sets.

Andy Roddick In Quarterfinals Versus Novak Djokovic
08.10.2007 MONTREAL-- Andy Roddick today in the quarterfinals plays third-seeded Novak Djokovic of Serbia in the second match on the main court
with the first match starting at 1pm EST USA. These two players have never played each other at an ATP or Grand Slam main draw event. This is mainly
because Novak is only 20 years old and has not played the ATP Tour too long, but he is this year one of the hottest players on the tour. Expect Novak
to pressure Andy from the baseline. This could be a difficult match for Roddick.
Our pick: Roddick in three sets. Two tough sets, one easy one.
Andy Roddick In Action On ESPN2 Tonight
08.09.2007 MONTREAL-- Andy Roddick tonight in the third round plays Marcos Baghdatis of Cyprus in a match that is scheduled to be shown
live on TV in the USA on ESPN2 tonight. Head to head Roddick is tied with Marcos 1-1. In their last meeting Roddick lost on clay in Rome this spring
3-6, 6-1, 6-2. Roddick won in Australia on hardcourts however in January 6-4, 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 which may be more telling since Montreal is also played on
hardcourts. I think Andy should be able to serve big and mix up power groundstrokes and volleys to get past Marcos tonight. In his previous match in
round two, Roddick beat Arnaud Clement of France 6-1 7-6(7-5).
Our pick: Roddick in three sets.
Andy Roddick To Play Montreal This Week
08.06.2007 MONTREAL-- Andy Roddick goes this week from Washington DC to Montreal, Canada for another warm up tournament for the US Open.
Roddick was seeded 5th and got a first round bye. In round two most likely Wednesday Andy plays Arnaud Clement of France or wildcard Philip
Bester of Canada.
Andy Roddick Wins Third Washington DC Title
08.06.2007 WASHINGTON DC-- Andy Roddick Saturday in the semifinals defeated Ivo Karlovic 7-6 (9-7), 7-6 (7-5). Sunday in the final Roddick
defeated wildcard American John Isner 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) to win his third Legg Mason Tennis Classic title. Roddick, who also won in in DC 2001 and
2005, earned his 23rd ATP title by figuring out Isner's serve, which had carried him to five straight wins. "I knew I had to win the second-set tiebreaker
because I thought I had no chance in the third-set tiebreaker against him," Roddick joked. "I was fortunate to be able to hold my own serve because
it was just one point. ... I was happy with the way I controlled the match with my serve." Isner: "I didn't really have that much left in my tank,
playing so many matches. But even on a full tank, I probably would have come up a little short."

Andy Roddick To Meet Doctor Ivo Saturday
08.03.2007 WASHINGTON DC-- Andy Roddick Friday night defeated 5th seeded Hyung-Taik Lee in the quarterfinals 7-6(8-6), 6-2 to set up a Saturday
semifinal versus 7th seeded Ivo Karlovic of Croatia. The 6' 10" Karlovic is also known as Dr. Ivo because of his monster serve and monster aces. Head
to head Roddick leads Ivo 2-1. Ivo won their last meeting in 2005 in Spain in hardcourts 3-6, 7-6(9-7), 7-6(7-3) so this may be a very difficult match for
Andy. Hard to break a serve if it's 98% aces coming at you.
Our pick Roddick in three tough sets.

Andy Roddick Faces Tough Radek Stepanek Thursday
08.02.2007 WASHINGTON DC-- Andy Roddick is playing the third round now 15th-seeded Radek Stepanek and leads 6-3, 1-2. Stepanek is a tough player
so Andy will have to play well. Stepanek won the ATP Tour tournament last week in Los Angeles, beating James Blake in the final so he will not be
easy to beat.

they weren't coming back. I was really pleased with my serve tonight." In the third round Thursday, Roddick will face either 15th-seeded Radek
Stepanek or Rockville, Md., native Paul Goldstein,
